I would adopt John but I thank he's to old to be retrained, He is an assest to your adventure. I hope to return in the near future.

I would like to write to say thank you for a trip of a lifetime. Your operations were exceptional and truly represent what an experience should be in a very primitive part of the world. I have been fishing since I was a small kid and have had many fishing excursions. Fishing for the peacocks was a trip to remember and I will be talking about it for years to come... until my next trip. Pound for pound, I think those peacocks pull harder than any other fish I have ever caught.

I qualified for the Monster Club since I caught my 20 pounder on my first day, November 23rd with Eddie.

Thanks again for a great experience and I will be back in the future.

Having just returned from my second trip to the Amazon Cutter, I wanted to take a minute and express my sincere thanks to you and the staff/guides and of course the Camp Manager (John) on the Cutter for making both trips memorable.

How all of you manage to provide such great service in a remote location is a testament to your professionalism and desire to provide only the best customer service. The staff continually checked with each of us to make sure we were taken care of; and if something was within their power to do for us, it was done quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. What more can a client ask for?

And of course away from camp the fishing was great. I cannot say with absolute certainity that you have the best guides on the Amamzon (because I'ver never used another Outfitter); however in my opinion the only way to best your guides would be for other guides to get world records each week; and that ain't happening. So in my limited opinion you have the greatest guides on the river. Each and every one of them is a joy to be around, friendly and willing to assist in anyway they can. And last but not least, they can put you on fish, big fish. I landed two 20 pounders and one 23 because the guides knew where to fish.

Again Don, please extend my thanks to everyone (including Allen in your office) for everything they do for us clients. I'm already looking forward to my next trip.

This was my first trip to the Amazon with the Great Don Cutter fishing Adventures! I have to say Great , because that is what it was! Great! The fishing was awesome! The people in charge and the guides were awesome! Top notch operation all the way!

Fellow fishermen and fisherwomen, if you want a fishing experience of a life time, well, here it is. I am awed at the whole thing. The beauty of the river and jungle. The awesomeness of the wildlife! The warm rain!

The fight of those peacock bass! I can still hear the singing of my line buzzing through the water! And the beauty of the fish! I caught a lot of my fish on top water. If you think you caught top water fish before, well think again! Until you see and hear what happens to your top water lure after a peacock has annihilated it, you haven't seen nothing!

My many thanks to Don Cutter (now my Idol), also to John and Jerry out there in the jungle. And thanks to all the awesome gia's (guides)!, these guys are professional in everyway! Oh, I almost forgot, thanks to the master cook (great food), and the cleaning and laundry girls! Everyday I had fresh clean clothes to wear!

Hope to do it again someday!

In my last two trips to “Amazon Fishing Adventures” Cutter houseboat, I caught six peacock bass over twenty pounds each and numbers of fish over thirteen pounds each. Of all the rivers I have fished in Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil, I believe the Rio Unini best deserves the title of “ Big Fish River”.  At age 83, I am very grateful that I am still able to fish with Don Cutter on the Unini”

My trip to your fishing operation in Brazil was absolutely fantastic.
The facilities were awesome and Jerry and his staff saw to it that we had a most enjoyable time. It would be ungrateful to suggest that anything could have been better than this trip.

I had the good fortune of catching a twenty and one half pound peacock that was 33 plus inches long and 21 inches in girth. What a beautiful fish.
I have done this with other outfitters in the Amazon and had caught more fish, but not the numbers of big beautiful fish on this trip.

Thanks for an awesome trip.

Like most people who go fishing in Brazil, I heard all the war stories and disappointments that have been occurring this year. However, I just took a trip with a new, for me, outfitter and could not have had a better experience.

My first trip this year was with Don Cutter's Amazon Fishing Adventures.
About two weeks before my scheduled departure date, I got a call explaining about problems with licenses and the government and was pretty much offered any later dates. I was assured that things were being handled as we spoke and Don was confident that he would have everything completed in a very short time but was worried that I might come down one or two days before all was finished up.  With everything he had going on, Don still found time to call me every other day or so and keep me informed.  Two days before I was due to leave, Don said that he was pretty sure that all would be OK and if I wished to come down, he was confident that I would have a nice experience.

His nice experience was some kind of understatement.  From the time the plane landed in Manaus, I was treated to a first class experience.  Great food, like every fishing operation in Brazil, large comfortable boats, spotlessly clean rooms with hot showers, good guides that worked to maximize my experience, a terrific camp manager that handled every request with a smile, and, oh yes, super fishing.  I caught a 22, a 20, a bunch of 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19's for a total of 47 over 10.  My partner had a similar experience catching a 20 and five 19's.  There were so many big fish that we ran from any spot holding those schools of 4 to 10 pounders.  We caught all the fish my body could deal with and did it in amazing ease under wonderful conditions.  I saw literally dozens of huge fish on beds and I can only imagine what the next few weeks will bring.

Remembering all the times I have been stuck in some rinky-dink airport for hours, walking and or riding some Jon boat trying to get to the camp or boat, it was shocking for me to land at an airstrip and walk 100 feet to my room. A final surprise was the lack of biting bugs.  I never applied repellant and returned without one single bite.  I loved my trip and no outfitter or operator has ever done a better job.  I plan to fish with Don twice next year and am already thinking of the big ones that got away.
Thanks Don.

“Over the years, I’d heard a lot about the excitement of peacock bass fishing in the Amazonian rivers but had never tried it, so I was excited to join Don Cutter for an excursion to the Rio Unini. Nothing could have prepared me for the incredible fishing action for huge peacock bass, as we caught many from 14 to 22 pounds, along with lots of smaller fish. Nothing can match the excitement of those topwater strikes. In addition to superb fishing for peacock bass, giant redtail catfish, and other species, we were all impressed to view the incredible Amazon wilderness with its birds and wildlife, which add another whole dimension to this fishing trip.

Don’s Amazon Cutter was great to fish from, and his guides and staff were outstanding in their knowledge of the rivers and their fish along with the best techniques to catch them, and they work to make every angler enjoy their trip to the max. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and the accommodations and food are first-rate. This is a trip of a lifetime, but once you go, you will surely want to go back!”

Margaret and I have fished pretty extensively throughout the world since 1977. We have fished our native Australia, New Guinea for their version of the black bass and Lake Nasser in Egypt for Nile perch. Our week on the Amazon Cutter, with its explosive, close quarter surface strikes, great food, etc. would have to rate as one of our top fishing experiences. I take my hat off to you for running such an operation in such an isolated area.

Dink Alston

I had one of the greatest fishing trips of my life. Will be back next year with a new group to introduce them to peacock bass and your fine operation.

As a full-time guide and former Bassmasters Classic competitor, I have had the opportunity to fish many exciting destinations. My trip with you on the Unini River was, without question, the greatest fishing trip of my life.

Dr Karl Malik

I have been to four other peacock bass operations over the past seven years and I can say, without hesitation, that your operation was the best. Comfortable accommodations, great guides, and outstanding fishery.
-Dr. Karl Malik, Maryland

Henri Gauthier

You told me when I booked my second trip with you that conditions were right for a shot at a 20 lb. peacock. Well, as the photo above shows you were right! Here is my 20 pounder. Looking forward to a larger one next year!
-Henri Gauthier, Georgia

Larry Humphrey

I don't know how you do it. This was my third trip with you and the operation and fishing seem to get better with each trip. Can't wait to see what happens on my 10th trip. Best regards.
-Larry Humphrey, Ohio

Austin Wedemeyer Jr

What a thrill it was to spot a cruising 19 lb. monster peacock bass and then catch him on a fly. Great fishing trip!
-Austin Wedemeyer Jr., California

I am still astounded when I think of what I accomplished with your operation on the Unini River. You said that you would just about guarantee I would catch a peacock over 16 lbs. during my trip. You were wrong about the 16 pounder. I caught 5 fish over 20 pounds in one day. Incredible!!
-Mat Lipscomb III, Tennessee

Charles Hammontree Jr

My trip to the Amazon Cutter was a most memorable one for me. The trophy peacock bass fishing was excellent, guides top notch and very comfortable accommodations. I look forward to a return trip to the Unini River with you in the near future.
-Charles Hammontree Jr., Venezuela

Harry Affleck Jr

“The staff was excellent, the food excellent and the fishing excellent. This is my third trip to Brazil and by far the best! Your operation is the only one of three that I would unconditionally recommend.”
-Harry Affleck Jr., Texas

Chris Cagle

This trip did not meet the expectations you set prior to this trip - they exceeded them! One of the best fishing trips of my life. Will definitely be back and recommend your operations to others. Thanks again.

Larry Peters

This was a great vacation and the fishing was great. I averaged 15 fish per day and the last day I boated 20 fish all above 13lbs the largest was 20.5lbs. The Peacock Bass was the greatest fighting fish I have ever caught. We flew to Manaus on TAM and the next morning we flew to the fishing camp, 265Kts into the jungle on a Cessna Caravan. We fished on the Plato River (Black River) and the Unini River for six days. We would get up every morning at 5:00 am and leave the camp at daylight. We took our lunch and returned to the camp by 6PM. The day was long ant the fishing was great every day. I would love to do this again.
